Custom Entertainment Centers

The pictures at left show a recently completed entertainment center. The top picture is a rendering of the proposal before construction began. The middle picture shows the completed project . The lower picture shows pull out equipment trays.

All aspects of the project were carefully planned including the size and placement of the components. A center channel speaker was shown in the proposal so that when the owner upgrades to a 5.1 surround sound system there will be room for it below the LCD TV (the optimum position).

Component connections can be a hassle if provisions are not made during the planning process. Slide out trays provide easy access when a door cannot be installed in the back of the cabinet. In this project the door at the right is an under stair closet providing access to the back of the cabinet. The slide out trays were not necessary here. Also notice there are no wires showing below the TV. Pull wires were installed from the back of the cabinet to inside the wall, coming out behind the TV. When the TV was mounted, the power, coax, and component cables could be routed via the pull wires.
